Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team. As part of the Human Resources Group, the Human Resources Business Partner handles a wide range of HR tasks and ensures the smooth operations of the HR functions on a day-to-day basis for all European business units. Provides tactical support for employment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, and compensation administration. This role interacts with staff at all levels and provides technical guidance/ direction to colleagues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Addresses employee concerns, conducts investigations, and ensures a positive work environment.
Partners with various HR functions to assist employees in the various concerns that may come up through the employee life cycle; for example, adding a child to benefits, referring a friend for a position and/or issue with a manager.
Ensures compliance with country labor laws and company policies.
Assist in the implementation of corporate policy at the business unit or division level.
Facilitates organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues.
Resolves employee relations issues through a systematic approach.
Assists senior management in the development of solutions through a cultural and process perspective organizational development.
Develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., salary review, stock option grants renewal, workforce planning, and organizational change).
Lead special projects in the realm of human resources management.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in related field
10+ years of experience in human resources
Working knowledge of country labor laws
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
Competency in:
Business Acumen, Communication, Consultation, Compliance, Ethical Practice, Global & Cultural Awareness, HR Expertise, Relationship Management
Preferred Education & Experience:
Masters in a related field
Professional HR Certification (CIPD) or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment. Can be country specific.
Experience working in HR for an Engineering or Construction Company
Experience in Immigration Administration and/or International Assignments a plus
Working Conditions:
Sedentary for prolonged periods, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
