About the role We are seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. For the first 12 months, this role will primarily operate on an 8-days-on, 6-days-off FIFO roster, based in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. After the initial period, approximately 50% of the role will be site-based, with the remainder working from our Malaga office. Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager, you will leverage your construction experience across diverse projects to help us maintain and enhance our safety, sustainability and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of HSEQ management standards, procedures, tools, and templates on-site
Lead and participate in safety and incident investigations
Ensure compliance with High-Risk Work requirements and Critical Risk Management programs
Provide accurate and high-quality HSEQ reporting per client and company requirements
Conduct plant inspections, inductions, risk assessments, and review SWMS
Perform routine site audits, inspections, and safety observations alongside operational personnel
Liaise with stakeholders, clients, contractors, and workers on health and safety concerns and solutions
Deliver site inductions and communicate HSEQ updates via toolbox talks, pre-start meetings, and alerts
Educate and support the team with specialist advice on relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
Skills and experience To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who can bring the following skills and experience to the role:
Diploma in Work Health and Safety
Lead Auditor qualification and experience conducting management system audits
ICAM Investigator or equivalent certification
Experience developing and implementing management systems, processes, and procedures
High-level communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
Proven experience on-site with high-risk construction activities
A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to hit the ground running.
