Location
This position is based in our production facilities in Ávila (Spain) and requires full professional proficiency in Spanish.
Responsibilities
- You are the first point of contact for Health Safety and Environment (HSE) and apply this in accordance with the Eastman standards and governmental regulations.
- You enhance and implement the Eastman safety culture on the shop floor.
- You are responsible for writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and providing training and workshops for the employees.
- You facilitate both internal and external audits and follow up on audit actions.
- You participate in risk analyses, Management of Change (MOC) and commissioning of new devices and installations.
- You lead incident investigations and are responsible for following up our reporting tool for incidents and 'near misses', organizing 'observations' and following up on action points.
- You are responsible for the analysis and application of process safety and risk inventory & evaluation.
- You contribute to the process of continuous improvement of our safety policy, and you are responsible for the implementation of improvements.
- You are an ambassador of our 'Zero Incident Mindset', participate in awareness campaigns and are responsible for communication around this theme in the internal communication channels.
Qualifications
- Master's or bachelor's degree in a technical specialization with several years of experience in the process industry.
- Additional education in (Process) Safety and Loss prevention is a big plus.
- You possess strong administrative and ICT skills.
- You are passionate about safety and prevention.
- You have excellent communication and didactic skills, both in Spanish and English.
- You can build and maintain a strong network with the internal Eastman HSE organization.
- You can quickly act based on a thorough analysis, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- A sense of responsibility and integrity are crucial in this role.
- You are a strong change agent who is continuously looking for process improvement.
