Your Mission as an HSE Engineer As an HSE Engineer, your mission is to ensure the safety, health, and environmental standards within the company meet and exceed all regulatory and internal requirements. You will play a key role in shaping and enforcing HSE policies, driving continuous improvement in safety practices, and maintaining a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as an HSE Engineer Provide HSE orientation to employees and visitors. Conduct monthly HSE communication sessions. Prepare compliance and activity reports for operational management. Inform management of new or conflicting legislative matters impacting the facility. Plan, coordinate, and implement effective HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures. Support departmental managers and supervisors in all aspects of safety and environmental issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain necessary records. Perform regular HSE audits and coordinate company-wide HSE initiatives (ISO, 14001, OHSAS 18001). Investigate accidents, report findings, and implement lessons learned. Train employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Ensure the implementation of emergency response systems, safety meetings, and drills. Manage safety statistics reporting and track HSE performance. Oversee the maintenance and inspection of company vehicles and safety equipment. Maintain medical, vaccination, and PPE records, liaising with HR as needed. Attend client HSE meetings and represent the company in external audits. Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as an HSE Engineer Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering. Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in oil and gas operations. Proficient in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 standards. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail. Knowledge in Microsoft Office, hazard analysis, risk assessment, and internal auditing. NEBOSH certification and first aid training are highly preferred. Advanced customer focus and teamwork. Proficient accountability and communication skills. Proficient in leading and developing people, strategic thinking, and results orientation. Proficient knowledge of facility and equipment maintenance, with a developing understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering. Additional Information Work Location: Primarily field-based with regular visits to the yard and operational sites. Working Days Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
