What the role is
The HR Assistant supports the HR department in various tasks related to recruitment, training/development, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and providing excellent service to employees and management. The position requires impact and influence skills to work cross-functionally with other departments.
This position is based in Madrid.
What you will be doing
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews.
Support new hire onboarding, including preparation of orientation materials, coordinating orientation sessions.
Employee Records and Data Management:
Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
Ensure accurate documentation and filing of employee information, both digital and physical.
Assist with data entry and reporting as required.
Benefits Administration:
Support the administration of employee benefits programs.
Assist employees with benefits inquiries and claims processing.
Performance Management:
Assist in the administration of performance appraisal processes.
Help coordinate training and development programs for employees.
Track and document employee performance and training records.
Develop training and development programs.
General HR Support:
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and managing communications.
Assist with special HR projects as assigned.
Perform other related duties as required.
What you need for the role
Bachelor's student in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Human Resources or related discipline.
Strong analytical decision-making skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Fluent in both English and Spanish.
