The team: At Smallpdf, we work in pods, autonomous and cross-functional teams within the company—like the Avengers, but for SaaS!
You'll be connected to the Content and Marketing teams, reporting to our VP of Marketing.
Your mission: Based in Barcelona, you'll be part of the Content team, where you'll be responsible for understanding, owning, and producing technical content, product documentation, and FAQs for our various product teams.
You'll get to learn everything there is to know about our products and use your exceptional talent for communicating complex ideas in just the right way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities & Duties: Work with PMs, product marketing, and engineers to develop, organize, and produce top-class documentation in line with our content style guide and legal frameworks, including, but not limited to, user guides and information, integration guides, API developer guides, manuals, technical specs, process documentation, and white papers.
Work closely with the Content team and contribute to developing a content style guide for technical writing and come up with innovative approaches for improving existing content.
Actively grow your understanding of all our products and services, so you can translate this complex product information into digestible and engaging content.
Write user-friendly copy that serves our customers and different levels and sets them up for success when using—and engaging with—our products.
Set up and maintain a database of reference materials, including for research and usability purposes.
Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Native English speaker; additional languages are an asset.
5+ years' English writing experience (e.g., journalism, marketing, copywriting).
2-4 years' experience as an effective technical writer (preferably in SaaS).
Prior experience writing documentation and technical materials for different audiences.
Experience working alongside engineers or IT professionals to enhance user experience.
Demonstrated ability to learn, understand, and communicate about complex topics.
Able to work to deadline and be on time consistently.
Passionate about SaaS and user experience.
Comfortable working in a quick-moving, multicultural work environment.
EU citizen or valid work permit to work in Barcelona.
