For more than a century, we have contributed to making the Bages region a mining center of great importance, where the extraction of potash, a natural fertilizer essential for agriculture throughout the world, but also of sodium salt, mainly destined for the chemical industry, has been maintained uninterruptedly.
We are looking for an Accounting & Reporting Manager for the center located in Súria (Barcelona).
As the Accountant & Reporting Manager, you will oversee and coordinate accounting processes to ensure internal control in the company's economic and financial management.
You'll work closely with the accounting team, collaborate with external auditors and consultants, and lead process improvement initiatives.
Major Responsibilities: Coordinating and advising the team in the different processes of the department.Manage the accounting team, reviewing and controlling tasks.Assist and collaborate with external audits and other consultants for both individual audits and quarterly reviews.Lead processes of improvement, efficiency, and automation of the department.Supervise and submit the different informative declarations to official entities.Carry out the necessary checks and balances to guarantee the reliability of the information submitted.Control the periodic processes of the justification of credit balances.Verify and prepare creditor payment proposals.Verify miscellaneous invoices to third parties.Verify anticipated expenses in warehouses, estimate provisions, accounting adjustments, accruals.Perform and ensure compliance with SOX controls assigned in the accounting area.Carrying out intercompany reconciliations.Supervise the different processes that affect the closing to guarantee their execution on the required dates.Report in due time and form the economic-financial information required by the ICL Group.Analysis of the new accounting regulations (Spanish GAAP and IFRS).Converting financial statements from Spanish GAAP to IFRS.Preparation of the financial statements of the group's Spanish companies.To guarantee and ensure compliance with good environmental practices in the workplace and its team.To prepare the consolidated financial statements of the Spanish group. You will rock at this role if: Minimum of 5 years of broad-based financial and operational management experience.Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar.Technical expertise in accounting Spanish GAAP and IFRS.Advanced English level.Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to comfortably fit in with the existing management team.Strong organizational skills coupled with attention to detail and solid record of follow-up.
