.DESCRIPTIONThis role can be based in Dublin, London, Frankfurt, Madrid, UAEThe EMEA Data Center Construction Management team is seeking a Sr. Manager to lay the foundation for a new regional Pre-Construction team. This will be part of an exciting, fast moving and growing business team. The right candidate for this job will be a self-starter with dedication to seeing projects through to the end. You will have an eye for detail and determination to standardize processes and turn-over high-quality work. You will be an integral part of the team that works cross-functionally to deliver results.This position will work closely with internal partners to deliver a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million,multi-year datacenter construction projects in various new markets. The Sr. Manager will ensure pre-construction activities including due diligence, design readiness, procurement strategy and constructability are addressed appropriately to enable the construction team to deploy the Data Center projects safely, on-time, to quality and budget.This position involves direct contact with both internal and external stakeholders, and this candidate must have an ability to communicate effectively with business partners at every level, including upper management to inform decision making.Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work backwards from our customer needs. The right person for this position will take ownership of their work, display a great deal of initiative, and possess sound judgment and a great business acumen.Key job responsibilitiesThe Pre-Construction lead will be responsible for building a team that establishes standard pre-construction processes for the EMEA region and align those processes globally.The Pre-Construction lead will establish key pre-construction metrics that measure the performance of internal and external stakeholdersThe Pre-Construction lead will be responsible for providing the Construction deployment team with design and procurement inputs on time ahead of construction startThe Pre-Construction lead will be responsible for building and managing interfaces with internal teams and develop cross-functionally alignment to deliver resultsAbout the teamAWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
