Offer Description
- Chromatographic techniques for protein purification: gel-filtration, ion-exchange, hydrophobic, IMAC, and reverse-phase.
- In vitro handling of proteins and other biomolecules.
- Expression of proteins in bacterial systems.
Site-directed mutagenesis (Basic PCR techniques).
Basic microbiology techniques (preparation and handling of media, cell growth, antibiotic preparation).
- Western blots.
Cell growth assays (MTT), immunofluorescence assays, and proximity assays (PLA) in cell media (studies in cellulose).
- Handling of FPLC and HPLC for biomolecule purification (or their complexes) and determination of their molecular sizes.
- DNA and protein electrophoresis (in native and denatured states) in gels with different compositions.
- Use of different electroscopic techniques: fluorescence, visible ultraviolet, circular dichroism, nuclear magnetic resonance.
Interpretation of spectra from these techniques.
- Use of different biophysical techniques: dynamic light scattering, bio-layer interferometry, differential scanning calorimetry, and isothermal titration calorimetry.
Interpretation of results.
- Determination of kinetic parameters (of enzymatic reactions, binding reactions, folding reactions, and/or chemical reactions in general) with electroscopic and biophysical techniques.
Interpretation of these parameters.
- Analysis, interpretation, and representation of data with programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SigmaPlot, Origin, and/or KaleidaGraph.
