In Spain, Nickel launched its activity in 2021 and is currently experiencing a phase of strong growth.We already have 1,600 Nickel points of sales spread throughout the territory.MISSIONThe Finance Officer will be a contributor to the financial health of our company by implementing and operating our financial procedures.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, his/her duties will include the control of accounting figures and processes executed by the Shared Service Center, being in charge of regulatory financial and tax reporting, support on performance management reporting, planning budgets and business plans, contributing to audits and elaborating presentation materials.RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Reporting:Responsible, in close coordination with the Finance Shared Service Centre and Operations teams, for the elaboration of financial information (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Changes In Equity) requested by head office and regulators according to established guidelines (incl.
ICAC, Bank of Spain, tax authorities, etc.
).Elaboration of income tax statements in coordination with Territory/Nickel Tax teams and external advisors, to be delivered annually along with tax filings.Contribute to external audits.Collaboration in the implementation of production information systems and the promotion of automation to increase reliability and quality, and reduce lead time of financial reporting.Draft replies to Bank of Spain, among other regulators, in case of information requests, including subsequent analysis of variations or follow-up of inconsistencies in the information packages delivered.Together with the Legal department and head office Finance, follow-up of capital structure and potential required dotations.Performance Management:Perform periodic and ad hoc financial analysis on key business drivers to detect and resolve deviations at the request of local and central teams.Assist in the preparation of performance review presentations and KPIs.Preparation of forecasts and budget exercises according to local and central guidelines.Contribute to the development of the function with initiatives and improvement proposals, aimed at delivering swifter and more valuable responses to key stakeholders.Accounting Controls:Perform and monitor controls on management accounting figures, ensuring differences are highlighted and adjusted.Perform follow-up within business units in order to assess both effectiveness and efficiency of existing controls.Compilation and review of the monthly closings of the company.Contribute to finance related policies and procedures in the perimeter.REQUIREMENTSTraining: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field.EXPERIENCE: Previous experience (at least 3-4 years) in accounting departments or in a similar role will be valuable, preferably in a financial institution.Languages:Spanish: FluentEnglish: FluentFrench: OptionalSKILLS:Technical:Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.Knowledge of accounting, data and administrative management practices and procedures.Transversal Behavioral:Analytical AbilityOrganizational skillsAttention to detail/rigorBENEFITS:Meal and transport bonusPension PlanHealth insuranceLife insuranceTraining programs, career plans and internal mobility opportunities, national and international thanks to our presence in different countries.Diversity and Inclusion Committee that ensures an inclusive work environment.Corporate volunteering program (1 Million Hours 2 Help) in which employees can dedicate time out of their working hours to volunteer activities.Flexible compensation planHybrid remote working model (50%)28 vacation daysDIVERSITY AND INCLUSION COMMITMENTPRIMARY LOCATION: ES-MD-MadridJOB TYPE: Standard / PermanentJOB: MISCELLANEOUSEXPERIENCE LEVEL: At least 3 yearsSCHEDULE: Full-timeREFERENCE: FIN-000976APPLY: (REF: FIN-000976) #J-18808-Ljbffr
