Celera Motion's precision motion control products solve challenges for technology-driven original equipment manufacturers around the world. Our customers are solving some of the world's most difficult and important problems in healthcare and manufacturing, and they rely on us to work closely with them to develop innovative motion control solutions.
We are growing quickly and are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Applications Engineer to join our team and become an expert adviser to our customers and support to our sales, marketing, and product development teams.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProvides pre-sale product/technical support to ensure proper product specification and selection as needed.Provides post-sale product/technical support of installation and integration as needed.Responds promptly to all customer questions, comments, and concerns.Evaluates any issues with customer units and works with engineering and others to correct and improve product features.Runs product tests in the lab to develop a deeper understanding of performance limitations in preparation for customer evaluations.Develops customer documentation, including user manuals, data sheets, and performance data.General TasksStrict compliance with quality, occupational safety, and environmental regulations.Implementation of the instructions of the quality/environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training, and CompetenciesB.S. in Electrical Engineering or Physics.Written and verbal communication skills: Must be highly responsive and capable of effectively communicating with customers, peers, supervisors, engineering, manufacturing, and quality colleagues.Ability to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand ways.Logical thinker and excellent problem solver.Drive to win, desire to work with customers and help them solve complex problems.Sense of urgency with personal commitment to the success of the customer, your products, and your teammates.Positive, can-do attitude, strong engagement skills, especially with customers and peers.Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time and be flexible enough to change priorities with short notice when necessary.Able to effectively project the 'face of Celera' to potential and existing customers and distributors.Displays high moral and business code of conduct.Respectful of customers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors.PreferredKnowledge of and experience in developing, using, or troubleshooting motion control components/systems.Experience with Adobe Premier or other video editing/post production software.Experience with Adobe InDesign or other desktop publishing software.Familiarity with Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning tools.Travel RequirementsMust possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally, if required. May require up to 30% travel.
