What is Hermès Rise?Hermès Rise is a development programme offered by Hermès Europe & Middle East preparing employees to become managers in Retail. Through this 12 to 18 month programme, including a 3 to 6 month experience in another country, you will develop and gain skills to take your first managerial role in a store.

Hermès Rise - MadridWhat will your day-to-day life look like?The first 9 to 12 months of the programme will be spent in one of Madrid stores (Canalejas). You will then move to another store in Europe / Middle East for a period of 3 to 6 months. This will enable you to broaden your horizons and test your skills in a new team.


Throughout the programme, you will be trained by the teams in place. You will gain solid experience in all areas of retail at Hermès. You will develop your skills in product knowledge and client management, back-of-house operations and leadership. In addition to hands-on, in-store training, there will be offline and online training, and you actively participate in store projects.


Throughout the programme, you will report to the Store Manager and be an integral part of the management team. You will be supported by HR and the managers of the team and will have the opportunity to meet other Hermès Rise participants and learn from your peers.


If you have no retail experience, a 6-month phase may be added beforehand to enable you to learn the basics of sales and client service at Hermès.


Ultimately, the aim is for you to hold a FLOOR MANAGER POSITION in Madrid store (Canalejas). This position consists of:
Daily supervision of staff (coaching, training, organizing morning briefs and assisting in achieving sales objectives)Supports operations function and serves as the back up in the absence of the Store ManagerIdentifying sales opportunities, tracking delivery and special orders, partner with VM team to highlight business needsHermès Rise is for you if you:Have at least 3 years experience in another position in HermèsWant to become a manager in RetailHave a real appetite to work in a people facing environment (clients & teams)Are willing to relocate for at least part of the programme (min. 3 to 6 months)Speak fluent English and at least one other language. You will meet other candidates, senior managers and HR specialists from Hermès Europe & Middle East. Through different exercises and activities, we will evaluate if you are ready to rise through the programme. All candidates will receive detailed feedback after this day to contribute to their personal development.Third step: If you successfully pass the selection day, we prepare your personalized programme starting in Madrid and you start to rise at Hermès from approximately May 2025 onwards.
