An opportunity is available to join World Vision Australia as the Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HS&W) Manager. Reporting to the Head of People Partnerships, this role enables our people to be their best through the provision of contemporary HS&W leadership, governance, and support. This position is key in advancing and enabling a unified culture of safety, wellbeing, and operational excellence to ensure World Vision is providing quality staff care.Key elements of success are:Prevention, early intervention, and business-wide implementation of plans to improve WHS outcomes.Proactive management of all aspects relating to incidents, injury management, and workers compensation.Review and design employee experiences that provide a contemporary care and support environment, in partnership with relevant health and wellbeing providers to promote a responsive culture requiring all our people to take reasonable care of self and others to support good health and wellbeing as well as the physical environment.Safety, assurance, compliance, and support for work-related travel for World Vision Australia (WVA).Manage internal relationships to influence effective Safety and Security outcomes and culture.Drive a high-performance culture with team member(s) through coaching and development.Who we're looking for:As the successful applicant, you will have a breadth of capabilities including enthusiasm, creativity, and outstanding interpersonal skills.In addition, you will have:Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and experience managing projects and change in systems and organisational culture.Extensive experience in conducting investigations into work, health, and safety matters and strong technical knowledge of safety and security management principles and practices.Proven experience in developing effective Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures.Ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.Relevant tertiary qualification in work, health, and safety (or a related discipline) and equivalent industry experience (i.e., diploma of work health and safety).Effective training, coaching, and capability building.If you have a growth mindset, a can-do attitude, and strong situational leadership capabilities, we want to hear from you!Working for World Vision means you are making the world better.
