As the Health and Safety Manager, you are responsible for managing and promoting ICL Iberia's Safety, Health, and Risk Management programs in accordance with headquarters, company, and regulatory policies to generate a sustainable preventive culture in the organization.
You will also ensure the development of the Health and Safety strategy.

About the roleThis is a newly structured role where we expect the Health and Safety Manager to define and review the vision, policies, and objectives of occupational risk prevention.
You will create and consolidate significant indicators of health and safety management and lead the implementation of safety culture programs.
Areas of responsibility will include active leadership and support for safety and health initiatives at the site and mine, leading continuous improvement in management systems, leading processes to achieve goals and meeting them proactively while preventing events, meeting business commitments, and providing effective internal and external communication.
Main responsibilitiesManage and lead the health, safety, risk management, and security activities throughout the Site.Management of the HSS systems team, 4 FTE and functional leadership to the Safety Operational Team.Ensure compliance with Health Safety and Security (HSS) through close work with HSS teams, management, and all functions in the organization including company headquarters and contractors.Maintain management routines, monitoring and controlling the goals and indices, work plans, and corrective actions while producing weekly and monthly reports.Lead and implement the global OEMS and HOP methodology on the site.Lead and implement global HSS tools including Enablon and GOARC, the ERM risk management processes, and operational risk management - PSM.Ensure a culture of risk awareness and risk management processes such as JSA for roles and tasks, while ensuring the implementation of controls and ensuring that employees are aware of the processes.Initiate a culture of proactive learning processes for event prevention as well as learning processes for events that occurred for the purpose of constructing defenses and preventing recurrence.Lead continuous improvement of the ISO45001 management system and other relevant standards.Take an active part in global work teams, the European Safety Forum, and the professional steering committees.About youWe are looking for an experienced professional with proven experience in leading and implementing new initiatives in the health and safety function, preferably in a chemical company, construction, or general industrial sector.
You have a relevant degree in health and safety, mining, and/or engineering combined with managing people experience.
In addition, we look for the following experience or skills:
Certificates in accordance with Spanish law are preferred.Strong organization and leadership skills.Experience in managing HSS Process Safety Management and Risk Management Programs.Fluent in English and Spanish is a big benefit.Experience in mines is an advantage.LocationSpain, Suria - or willing to relocate to this location.
