The Health Team at Edelman strategically partner with clients to deliver global, regional and local integrated campaigns for disease awareness, medical education, patient and employee engagement, digital communications, data and regulatory milestones and much more!

The Role


In the past decade, Edelman has expanded beyond public relations and communications to take on and deliver award winning marketing briefs. Our Spain team are now seeking a leader whose role will be to expand our work in integrated communications and marketing with health clients, building our reputation for delivering best-in-class pharmaceutical marketing work and growing a solid base of these clients. With a history of working in large agencies, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring matrixed teams and have the knowledge to provide strategic business and communications' counsel to senior clients within existing and prospective businesses.


With a focus on business development, your job will be to grow and lead clients with revenues of £1-5m, and drive forwards integrated solutions with leaders within each discipline to find the most effective creative solutions. Orchestrating and overseeing highly strategic work, you will deliver success through ideas that are insight driven, earned in their origination and stand out in the market.


You will have a highly entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrating leadership, initiative and creativity and able to take calculated risks whilst embracing the realities of operating in a fast-paced, ever-changing and sometimes uncertain landscape.



Responsibilities and Skills

Agency Experience - Experience working within a large Marketing, PR, Comms or similar agency environment, managing multiple work streams and clients as well as navigating complex and integrated teams.
Pharmaceutical Marketing - Experience working within Pharmaceutical marketing, delivering best-in-class work and growing business, with agency experience preferred.
Collaboration - Working in collaboration with integrated team members from planning, creative, medical writing and digital services.
Integrated marketing – Specifically having demonstrable global/regional and UK expertise in successfully harnessing the value of influence for world-famous health brands, within the earned, paid and owned environment.
Entrepreneurial mindset – Demonstrably embracing new innovations, technologies, and practices to deliver stand-out results.
Brand strategy-development – Driving award-winning campaigns for large pharmaceutical companies.
Digital/social influencer strategy and programme execution – High quality oversight and impeccable client-servicing.
HCP and patient audience understanding – Strong audience journey and touchpoint understanding combined with scientific fluency.
Team leader – Experienced in working well in a highly matrixed organization.
New business development – Leading teams to deliver success in this area.
Global client management – Delivering success for brands with a global footprint.
Deadline-Driven and goal-oriented – Working in a very fast-paced environment.
