Job Description : DXC is one of the biggest IT Industry in Spain. We provide services across the entire Enterprise Technology Stack with strong traditions in digital technologies, IT infrastructure, applications, analytics, security services and more.
We seek to enlarge our Mancomunated health and safety team which is responsible for all security and safety related issues of DXC Technology in Spain.
The main task is to create and maintain a safe and secure environment for the locations, events and other activities of DXC and of its staff.
The selected candidate would be located in Madrid. ResponsibilitiesImplement, and execute H&S annual objectives & improvement plans in conjunction with site operations and H&S management.
Prepare the Risk Assessments of the workplaces and coordinates the Safety Inspections of the different work centers.Manage proactively outsourced companies on H&S issuesMonitor implementation of H&S Standards, legal requirements, regular audits, and inspectionsAssure emergency response programs are in place and in compliance with legislation.
Assist organization with implementation of an H&S management system.Ensure awareness of and compliance with H&S and Fire Protection requirements by the organization.
Review and incorporates H&S standards promulgated by DXCResponsible for managing projects covering the H&S portfolio within a sub-region or complex site.
Manage and perform the daily operations of projects, including : customer inquiries, program support, and communicating with local authorities.
Responsible for implementing training programs and communications to targeted employees.Develop and manages H&S programs that have multi-site / country-wide impact.
Responsible for maintaining management systems at sites (including documentation).Investigate and report incidents, accidents and occupational diseases and to follow all preventive actionsCollaboration with H&S related Labour Inspections, including appearing in those Inspections as the H&S experts.
Attend at worker's council meetings and respond to worker's counsel requests / issues (in locations where required by law).
Education and ExperienceUniversity Degree in a relevant fieldLevel of education required by local legislation to perform H&S position (Técnico superior con las tres especialidades preventivas Seguridad, higiene, Ergonomía y psicosociología )Fluent English (both written & verbal)Have preferably auditor certification according to ISO 45001 standardsMinimum 3 years of Health & Safety experienceExperience in ergonomic and psychosocial assessments.
Previous experience as a H&S technician in an IT company or similar is valuable Knowledge and SkillsAbility to take responsibility and ownership of the delegated tasksSchedule and set priorities among the delegated dutiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Deep knowledge of local legislation and some knowledge of European legislation.Strong technical abilities.Good strategic thinking and business acumen.
Excellent communication skillsExcellent knowledge of local legal requirements relevant H&S.
