This high-profile position offers an exceptional opportunity to become an integral part of the Property Health and Safety Team delivering a professional service to our Head Office in Bury and associated offices.
The role will involve establishing relationships with key stakeholders in our office environments and working closely with both internal and external parties.Job TitleHealth and Safety Advisor - Head OfficeLocationJD Group, Hollinsbrook Way, Pilsworth, BL9 8 RR.Key Duties/Responsibilities:Acting as a first point of contact for all Health and Safety matters within Head Office engaging with all departments to develop and promote best practice and the Health and Safety culture.Investigate RIDDOR reportable accidents and produce formal written investigation reports.Formally audit and inspect offices and produce reports on a regular basis.Ensure actions from Fire Risk Assessments are implemented by liaising with Maintenance and Building Services.Ensure all offices have been risk assessed with control measures implemented as necessary.Co-ordinate Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments.Manage and monitor contracted works and CDM projects from a Health and Safety perspective.Audit site-based contractors and measure their performance.Arrange First Aid, Fire Warden and Evacuation Chair training as necessary.Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:Qualified to NEBOSH Level.Experience of working in a safety-related role within an office environment is desirable but not essential.Strong IT skills.Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.A genuine passion for Health and Safety.Flexible approach to working hours.The Company:The JD Group is a leading omnichannel retailer of Sports Fashion, Street Premium Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms with over 60,000 colleagues over 3,400 stores across several retail fascias in over 30 markets around the world.
