Mission:
The Head of the Asset and Liability Management (ALM) is a senior executive role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the ALM function within the Bank. This includes managing the balance sheet, optimizing the risk-return profile, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance financial performance. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial risk management and deep knowledge of ALM principles.
Responsibilities:
Balance Sheet Management: Oversee and manage the bank's balance sheet, ensuring optimal asset-liability matching to mitigate risks and enhance profitability.
Structural Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage financial risks related to interest rates, liquidity, and capital adequacy. Implement strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
Pricing and Profitability Overview: Analyze and validate commercial products pricing proposals, optimizing the risk-return profile.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including Basel III/IV, IFRS, and other local and international standards.
Liquidity Management: Monitor and manage the company's liquidity position, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet short-term and long-term obligations.
Capital Management: Develop and implement strategies for capital optimization, ensuring adequate capital levels to support business growth and regulatory requirements.
ALM Modelling and Analytics: Utilize advanced ALM modeling techniques and analytics to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Stakeholder and ALCO Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
Reporting: Provide regular reports and presentations to the board of directors and senior management on ALM activities, risk exposures, and financial performance.
To be successful in the role you must have:
Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in asset and liability management, treasury, risk management, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ALM modeling, financial analysis, and risk management tools.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
English proficiency at B2 level or similar.
Ability to work as a team, communicating and sharing findings with team members.
Highly motivated candidate with sound judgment and integrity.
