Your Mission As the Head of Security, you are the critical connecting tissue between our organisation's leadership and its security delivery teams. You are the technical visionary who safeguards our digital assets while translating strategic security goals into actionable plans. Your leadership will bridge the gap between cutting-edge security solutions and our business needs, ensuring we're both protected and empowered to thrive. The success of our Security function hinges on your ability to foster collaboration, drive innovation, and maintain a security-conscious culture across the entire organisation.

What you'll do Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision for security engineering and architecture, aligning it with our broader security and business strategies. People Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of security engineers and architects, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth. This includes managing performance, setting goals, and providing career development opportunities. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex security projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Team Collaboration: Foster a high-performing environment where your engineering manager and security architect collaborate seamlessly with their respective teams to achieve common goals. Technical Direction: Provide expert guidance on technology selection, security frameworks, and architectural design patterns, setting the standard for excellence. Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, ensuring our defenses stay ahead of evolving threats. Innovation: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and exploration, staying ahead of the curve on emerging security technologies and methodologies. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, communicating the value of security initiatives and fostering a security-conscious culture. Performance Optimisation: Continually assess and refine our security architecture and engineering processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. What you'll bring Inspiring Leadership: Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing security engineering and architecture teams. Proven track record of delivering results through effective people management, mentorship, and strategic guidance. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of security principles, technologies, and industry best practices, coupled with strong problem-solving skills. Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable plans that align with business objectives. Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences. Collaboration: A collaborative mindset with a focus on building relationships and fostering teamwork across functions.
