We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Product Quality to lead and grow our QA team.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance, including processes, technology, and team development.
You will play a key part in driving a culture of quality throughout our organization and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of excellence.
This role reports directly to the Vice President of Product Engineering and offers significant visibility and growth potential, as improving product quality is a core company goal for Exasol.
Key Responsibilities: Guide and develop a high-performing QA team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Establish a vision and strategy for quality assurance, driving continuous improvement across the entire software development lifecycle.
Partner closely with development teams to integrate quality assurance throughout the SDLC, ensuring a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies, infrastructure, and automation frameworks to ensure efficient and effective testing processes.
Ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards in QA processes, staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies.
Conduct thorough risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts to maximize impact and mitigate potential issues.
Report on quality metrics and KPIs to stakeholders, providing clear and concise insights into product quality.
Utilize customer feedback and insights to continuously improve testing processes and enhance product quality.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize QA processes and contribute to overall product excellence.
Remain current with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA, bringing innovative ideas to the team.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Enterprise Software QA, with a proven track record of driving quality improvements.
Demonstrated success in a QA leadership role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing and mentoring QA professionals in the enterprise software domain.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, including extensive experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
Deep understanding of the SDLC, with experience working in Agile environments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Experience with performance and security testing methodologies and tools.
Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Linux operating systems.
Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Bash) is a plus.
Fluent in English.
German language skills are a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fully distributed work environment.
