Come and join us on our journey to enrich lives through listening!This is the roleAs the Head of Podcast Commissioning for the Podimo Spain team, you will oversee the acquisition, commissioning, production, and distribution of top-tier, relevant podcast programming tailored to Podimo's listeners. Additionally, one of your key responsibilities will be to manage and foster strong relationships with top creators and production houses.You'll be managing an incredible team of 4 talented individuals, who are working within Creator Relations, Production, Content Partnerships, and Curation. The team is working in close collaboration with an experienced Global Content Team to align on the global content strategy. As a team, you are responsible for providing our listeners with entertaining and enriching content across several verticals - producing original content, and partnering with top talent and media companies. You will take the lead on further building our local content library for the Spanish markets, driving the development of new concepts and partnerships based on commercial data insights.The role is located in Madrid and will be reporting directly to our Country Manager (Spain), Isabel Salazar.Your main responsibilities in this role: Manage and nurture relationships with creators and production companies to ensure alignment on creative vision and strengthen partnerships for consistent content quality. Negotiation of deals with creators, agencies and production companies. Oversee the creation and production of all audio content on the platform, including podcasts and other audio formats. This includes working closely with internal and external partners to develop and distribute content that aligns with the platform's brand and objectives. Track and analyze content performance and cost metrics to optimize content strategies and ensure that content is meeting the platform's goals within budget. Budget tracking and reporting, supervision of contracts, streamlining production processes (from pitch to release/activation) Adapt the company's global content strategy into local execution through productions, partner exclusives, media and commercial partnerships, and curation. Always taking the platform's commercial KPI's, market trends, competitive landscape, and overarching business goals into account. Furthermore, we believe the following will make you successful in the role: +15 years of experience in media from audio, video streaming, journalism, publishing, or television Well-connected in the media/audiovisula industry and able to find and communicate with great talent, producers, media companies, and publishers. An extensive existing network will be highly valued in this role. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to absorb data insights and market trends and adapt the lessons into a well-defined content investment strategy Experience with buying content commissioning and communicating with external stakeholders. Experience with podcast productions in all phases (conceptualisation, development, recording, and editing) is a plus Proven experience in budget management and contract oversight, ensuring alignment with financial objectives and production goals You are fluent in English (written and verbal) as you will be working with colleagues across the globe.
