ROLE SUMMARY: King's College, The British School of Alicante, one of the most sought-after British Schools in Spain, is seeking to appoint an inspiring, committed, and passionate professional as a Head of Physical Education from January 2025 (or sooner). This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding school as we continue to develop our education offering.
The Head of PE will be an exceptional practitioner able to teach GCSE PE and IBDP Sports, Exercise and Health Science to Higher Level. They will understand the importance of physical education in a through-school setting and provide continual support to the Executive Headteacher, Heads of Section (Secondary and Primary), and their leadership teams in all aspects of school life, particularly focusing on developing outstanding sporting and enrichment opportunities from Nursery to Year 13.
They will embody the Group and School vision, leading strategically to ensure its realization in the college while building and maintaining positive working relationships with all members of the school community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Be an active member of the school's leadership team, contributing to the development of the school's aims and objectives. Work towards the achievements of those aims and evaluate the impact of the school's work. Engage in whole school quality assurance and professional completion of all tasks agreed by the Head of Section (Secondary and Primary). Assume an additional whole school responsibility role for the organization and ongoing management of Enrichment in Years 5-8. Liaise with other schools to manage an interschool sports league.
