Head of Laboratory CoordinationBarcelona, Catalonia, ESThe Laboratory Coordination Unit ensures the proper functioning and maintenance of the laboratories at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR).Provides support to the research staff by managing the common areas, cleaning, and sterilizing laboratory materials.
It supplies personal protective equipment (PPE) for the researchers.
It manages the disposal of waste generated in the VHIR laboratories.
It also handles the technical support for the electromedical equipment in the common areas and research groups.
Additionally, it ensures the proper functioning of the common areas, the correct use of equipment, and the adherence to good practices across the various research spaces.Education and qualifications:Required:Bachelor's Degree in SciencesSpecific/additional training in BiosafetyFluency in Catalan, Spanish, EnglishExperience and knowledge:Required:At least 5 years of experience working in laboratory management in research centers or clinical laboratories.Knowledge of culture rooms, radioactivity laboratories, and laboratory waste management.Ability to manage the organization and coordination of different activities conducted in laboratories involving the participation of various research groups in shared spaces.Main responsibilities and duties:Provide support for relocations and external visits.Labour conditions:Full-time position: 40h/week.Starting date: immediate.Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
