The Role
The Head of IT Procurement and Vendor Management is responsible for defining and executing a strategy to manage partners and vendor relationships in a proactive way to accelerate the execution of Ferrovial's transformation journey in a frictionless environment, taking into consideration internal regulations and guidelines.
He/she will be responsible for developing an IT Sourcing Strategy reflecting the requirements in a simplified common framework that includes a vendor characterization and clearly defined and transparent IT vendor performance metrics.
The team led by the Head of IT Procurement and Vendor Management will support Ferrovial's organization in the bidding, negotiation, and contracting of all IT sourcing processes.
This role will execute a Strategic Vendor Management Model identifying those strategic vendors that could support Ferrovial's transformation journey, establishing a relationship of partnership, and being responsible for the definition and implementation processes to onboard new partners or vendors to accelerate the execution in the IT organization.
Main ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement a Vendor Management Model with a comprehensive suppliers characterization framework enabling a clear picture of the IT landscape to support business operational and transformation needs.Set up and lead a Vendor Management Governance Model establishing regular meetings to enhance performance and identify risks, but also with strategic vendors to identify new opportunities of collaboration supporting Ferrovial's transformation journey.Identify potential vendors to support Ferrovial's Transformation Partners and build Strategic Partnerships aligned with Business and Digital Transformation strategy.Strategically manage key business and technology stakeholders, becoming an advisor regarding the IT vendor landscape to support business and transformation needs.Support the IT organization along the bidding process ensuring alignment between IT requirements that support the transformation journey and Vendors capabilities based on the suppliers characterization.Lead IT negotiations delivering best in market pricing, terms and conditions, KPIs, SLAs, and contracts that meet both business and IT requirements.Lead the drafting of IT contracts in collaboration with Legal to meet Ferrovial's requirements.Develop and evolve a Sourcing Strategy to support business needs providing a view of IT costs as part of the budget process and ensuring IT contracts are in line with budget and cost expectations identifying areas for potential cost reduction.Responsible for meeting savings and performance goals jointly with finance areas.Lead the digitalization of IT procurement processes with automated dashboards increasing data-driven decisions and support change management in the existing IT procurement area.
