Your role and responsibilities The Head of IS Technology and Platforms is accountable for Core IS Service and Delivery pillars across the ABB Global footprint.
The four core pillars include: (1) Service Delivery and Experience (2) Engineering and Cloud (3) Networks and Hosting, and (4) Modernization and Integration.
The role acts as the orchestrator of the key technology modernization programs and initiatives to drive digital transfor-mation and a product-centric maturity of core capabilities.
While reporting to the Group CIO, the Head of IS Technology and Platforms ensures effective and efficient delivery of all respective services in this portfolio, with full accountability for achieving the highest outcomes in respect to user expe-rience, budget, quality, business outcomes and execution against timelines achieved through management of a highly experienced cross-functional team of technology leaders and with their own teams beneath them.
The Head of IS Technology and Platforms champions the relationship that IS has with key business stakeholders for the pillars in his portfolio and how these support the collective value achieved by Core IS across all its services.Responsibilities? Accountable for delivering the core pillars of Technology and Platforms to business users and customers, which supports the continued running of the ABB business in a controlled and efficient way; ? Shapes the future of IS Technology and Platforms strategy to support the overall Business Strategy, bringing the best of insights, tools and practices from within and across industry to ensure IS Technology & Platforms continue to offer world-class services.? Managing a large global organization covering all time-zones that ABB serves and is required to provide full coverage of technology services.? Support the overall data strategy of ABB IS since IS Technology and Platforms plays a key role in the effective co-ordination, control and integration of technology data.? Establishing strong and effective relationship with IS Departments, Strategic Partners, Vendors and Customers and managing the trade-offs between their competing demands and objectives.? Ensuring IS Technology and Platforms are fully compliant and controlled and adhere to ABB Governance, Risk, Compliance and Security? Ensuring that IS Technology & Platforms are able to consistently deliver the services both currently and in the future, based on the evolving demands of the business and in response to the rapidly changing technology land-scape.
Qualifications for the role 15+ years of relevant experience, including 10 years†experience in senior technology leadership roles.
Significant experience across the core pillars, with senior stakeholder relationship management (internally and externally) Experience running core areas of IS Technology and Platforms Experience successfully managing complex enterprise-wide transformation programs Thorough understanding of the industry, technology best practice, business processes and user needs including innovation trends Compliance and security knowledge and mindset Strong leadership skills, specifically within relevant global technology organizations in response to challenge and ability to manage large teams of cross functional teams Excellent relationship management, communication, influencing and negotiation skills Commercial mindset and service-oriented mindset able to understand what value means and how to deliver it More about us We value people from different backgrounds.
