Job Title: Head of IT Location: Madrid Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: €110,000 - €140,000 per year About Company: Med Tech company specializing in innovative healthcare solutions, combining cutting-edge technology with a mission to improve patient outcomes.Seeking a highly technical and strategic Head of IT with a strong hands-on background to drive our IT infrastructure, systems, and compliance in a regulated medical environment.Key Responsibilities: IT Infrastructure & Systems Oversee and optimize cloud-based and on-premises IT infrastructure supporting real-time data acquisition and medical device connectivity.Lead the implementation of robust data pipelines for medical-grade analytics platforms, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.Manage IT networks to support secure integration of Io T-enabled devices used in clinical and operational environments.Data Security & Compliance Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, and MDR for all IT systems.Implement and manage end-to-end encryption protocols, secure APIs, and access control mechanisms to protect sensitive patient data.Perform regular audits and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and maintain a robust cybersecurity framework.Digital Transformation Spearhead the transition to advanced medical software platforms, integrating AI/ML for diagnostics and predictive analysis.Drive the adoption of Dev Ops practices to improve the development and deployment of internal medical applications.Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure IT infrastructure aligns with requirements for clinical trials and device validation.Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Design and maintain a high-availability IT architecture to minimize downtime in critical healthcare operations.Develop disaster recovery and backup solutions, ensuring compliance with medical industry standards.Team Leadership Lead a cross-functional IT team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.Provide mentorship and training to align IT operations with the company's mission and regulatory demands.Key Requirements: Experience: Proven track record as an IT leader in a Med Tech, healthcare, or regulated industry, with 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT systems, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), database management (Postgre SQL, Mongo DB), and networking protocols.Regulatory Acumen: Deep understanding of medical IT compliance frameworks (ISO 13485, ISO 62304, MDR).Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, strategic mindset, and excellent leadership and communication skills.
