Viking Travel Care was launched in 2023 as a new service area for Viking Assistance Group.
We are now ready to expand our services, and we are looking for a network manager with a long track record of managing the network department of travel assistance alarm centers, who is also able to think in new ways, to help us take our services to the next level.
Overall Job Description
The Head of Global Network will be responsible for the set-up, management and improvement of Travel Care's providers (e.g.
service providers of medical network and local assistance, medical providers, transport providers, travel agency services, funeral agents, sub-contractors and any other company or person delivering services to Viking Travel Care).
We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and help us develop new and innovative ways to utilize the possibilities in the market, as well as to deliver more customer-friendly, transparent and cost-effective services.
The role will be part of the management team in Travel Care and report to the Director of Travel Care.
Responsibilities Establish agreements and contracts with all types of service providers delivering services to Viking Travel Care.Negotiate and re-negotiate contracts with service providers.Manage and improve relations with existing service providers to Travel Care.Monitor, follow up and continuously develop and improve services related to network and service providers, taking necessary actions.Create network strategies in collaboration with Travel Care management and execute on the strategy.Innovate and rethink how to deliver network-related services.Develop, document, implement and update network processes and network data.Quality & deviation processes in relation to the global network.Support the Travel Care operation management.Customer follow-up in network-related topics (to ensure insurance company and end customer satisfaction).Project management for building up new services and processes in Viking Travel Care, both in relation to network, but also other projects.Administrative tasks in support of the Operation Manager and Director of Travel Care.QualificationsHigher relevant education.Broad experience from managing provider network in the travel insurance assistance industry.Negotiation and relationship management skills.Fluent English written and spoken with great communication skills.Preferably also a Nordic language speaker; Norwegian, Finnish, Danish or Swedish.Project management experience.Excellent communication skills.Empathic and service-minded.A team player with good collaboration skills.Proactive and structured, with a high-quality focus.Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.Independent and self-driven.Leadership and management experience.Experienced user of digital tools and IT systems.Employment type
