Job Overview: The Head of Accounting and Administration is responsible for overseeing all accounting and administrative functions of the company, including financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and office management.
This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong organizational and analytical skills.
The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial information and the efficient operation of administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate accounts and financial records.
Manage supplier relationships, purchase controls, and budgets.
Ensure timely financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards.
Optimize accounting processes and use of Xero accounting software.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
Coordinate with CFO, Tax advisers, Bookkeepers etc.
Administrative Oversight: Oversee office management, ensuring efficient administrative support.
Organize and streamline processes for procurement, contracts, and vendor management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, maintaining a well-organized and productive work environment.
Assist CEO with daily requirements.
Operational Support: Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
Oversee payroll & benefits administration.
Monitor and control purchases to optimize costs and maintain quality standards.
Leadership and Development: Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
Support and mentor team members in administrative and financial functions.
Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and administrative roles.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not essential with relevant experience).
Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
Strong organizational skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Hands-on and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in financial and administrative records.
Organized: Exceptional ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
Proactive Problem-Solver: Anticipates challenges and implements solutions.
Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
