As a Head of Electric/Electronic Development in MAHLE you will lead a Global department of Electric / Electronic Development and System Engineering teams for Electrical AC Compressor product segment.

Responsible for the Electric / Electronic Development teams for the AC Electrical Compressor product segment (including supplier monitoring) and System Engineering team, ensuring proper Design to Quality, Design to Manufacture, Design to Safety and Design to Cost mindset:Product (Inverter) System DevelopmentProduct (Inverter) AcquisitionProduct (Inverter) Supplier MonitoringProduct (Inverter) Test EngineersProduct (Inverter) Customer and Plant SupportRequirement Managers (From & To Internal teams, From & To External - Customer/Suppliers)Organize the department structure and continuous improvement of its maturityDescribe/update and align the team Missions, Roles, Interactions of the teams and associated RASIC with other departmentsCollaborate with other departments to ensure a frictionless collaboration between themSet department goals and monitor their implementationDescribe, harmonize and align the main Processes and Guidelines of the team, and PDP deliverables maturity by gate reviews.Communication of lessons learned between projects and the different Product Development EngineersEnsure fulfilment of XDK and BU4 general rules, processes and toolsStructure, follow and report the monitoring of the added value of the team to Key projectsDefine and align with Management / PM and Product Managers the KPI templates for the specific DomainApply and organize the report of these KPI for Key projectsEnsure successful fulfilment of the domain commitments to ongoing projectsPlan (anticipate) and follow the adequacy between workload and resource for the teamResource management in terms of people and equipmentTrack, and pull/align with PMs the required Resource Requests (Budget) per projectsTrack Hours recording into the system and follow / report on a regular basis the adequacy with budgetDefine and update the Resource estimation guidelines for PMs, with clear criteria, aligned with management and PM/Product ManagersDefine required team setup per project and associated staffingProvide coaching, organize training needs and people developmentIdentify and develop sustainable possibilities for external support (MESI/Brightskies/Subcontractors) or internal reallocation when relevantManage external suppliersConduct interviews for new hiringMentoring and training of the department team members What skills do you need? Degree in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Physics or similar.MBA in the field is a plus.English (C1) is required.Knowledge in German, Spanish, French and/or Italian languages will be a plus.Technical background in automotive electronics development is required.Technical background in power electronics topologies and hardware design.Technical background in electronics schematics design.Technical background in embedded software development.Technical background in prototypes assembly and testing.Technical background in functional, thermal, electrical and EMC validation.Knowledge of mechanical design and simulations.Knowledge of automotive environmental validation normative.Knowledge of manufacturing processes.Knowledge of Automotive Quality Standards: VDA 6.3 and AIAG normative.Knowledge of Automotive deliverables for PPAP and PSW.Knowledge of Automotive SPICE processes.Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262).Knowledge in Cybersecurity will be a plus.Cross functional communication.Experience leading development teams, delegate tasks, coaching and promote people.Experience in managing international remote teams.Experience in projects monitoring: timing, costs, risks.Experience with inter-personal communication and conflict resolution.Experience in interacting with clients, suppliers and external companies.Experience in working in a V model development process (ASPICE, CMMI).Experience in developing and implementing automotive electronics development processes.Experience in customer requirements analysis and negotiation.Experience with system/block diagrams, electronics schematics, e-Layout, mechanical design, 3D models, 2D drawings, Bill Of Materials, automotive validations procedures and normative, validation plans and automotive quality deliverables.Experience in problem solving through 8D report methodology.Experience in planning resources, budget and CapEx management.Experience in projects acquisition and offer preparation.Participation in customer audits.Business Plans preparation.Experience in reporting to Management.
