Leveraging your knowledge in Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (EDIB) alongside a strong emphasis on Sustainability, and your ability to drive change, we welcome you to take on a role that enhances sustainable English learning activities and exam delivery while upholding our principles of representation, equity, and fairness.

We seek a Head of EDIB and Sustainability to instil EDIB and Sustainability principles within the English product group. Your role will involve crafting and executing change management strategies to boost organisational capability and promote widespread adoption of these initiatives.

About the role The Head of EDIB and Sustainability will be responsible for developing and implementing change management activities, conducting stakeholder analysis, driving change metrics, capturing change impacts, managing communications, and performing learning needs analysis and readiness assessments.

In this role, you will encourage creative problem-solving among colleagues, foster key stakeholder relationships to secure effective organisational buy-in and leadership, support teams in adopting strategic changes, and translate Cambridge University Press & Assessment's vision for EDIB and Sustainability into actionable plans.

Working closely with the Operations function, the Head of EDIB and Sustainability will develop targets and frameworks to reduce carbon emissions across the English product group, collaborate with HR to create data-driven improvement plans for addressing pay gaps, and enable the exchange of ideas and data for evidence-based decision-making.

You will work with senior leaders sponsoring change initiatives, helping frontline employees build their readiness and adaptability to change while simplifying complex processes and balancing individual changes with required strategic outcomes.

The Head of EDIB and Sustainability will also manage organisational ambiguity, inspiring others to embrace change initiatives, advocate EDIB and Sustainability issues through coaching and facilitating senior leaders, managers, and global colleagues, and drive ownership and empowerment for independent management and reporting on EDIB and Sustainability initiatives.

About you Combining your knowledge and passion for EDIB and Sustainability with your experience of influencing and embedding change in an organisation, you will be able to successfully lead the implementation and measurement of our EDIB and Sustainability initiatives. Committed to supporting leaders to understand the approach, you will monitor success and help them embed the principles in their teams.

You will continuously strive towards new and improved ways to capture the current position and proactively seek out new and up to date information which can be applied to real life challenges.

Through your experiences of leading people through change, you will have high levels of change agility and adapt well when faced with complexity and ambiguity. You respond well to setbacks and bounce back from failure, learning from the experience and adjusting, where needed.

Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to identify both the overt and covert culture of our organisation will quickly build credibility with stakeholders at all levels, positioning you as a trusted partner.

You are able to challenge thinking and question assumptions (including your own) in a constructive way, as well as able to understand psychology/behaviours and their influence on how people respond to transition and change.
