WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Head of Data Science Strategy and Culture, you will support the Global Santander CIB Chief Data Officer & Data Science, in collaboration with the Global Santander CIB Chief Transformation Officer and in accordance with Santander Group guidelines, to define and coordinate the Data/Data Science strategy's framework and roadmap, aligned with business priorities and strategies.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Foster a data-driven culture and Santander CIB's mindset, promoting the use of data and data science solutions as an enabler for transformation. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the SCIB (including subsidiaries), understanding their needs, and building consensus on how data/data science solutions can enable business strategies. Manage the relationship with the Santander Group Models & Data team and with data science teams in subsidiaries to provide strategic discussions and follow-up impact measurement looking for data/data science awareness across the SCIB. Participate, together with the internal stakeholders, in the process of business cases to quantify data science solutions benefits, costs, and impact. Present results in a clear manner. Keep updated on the latest trends in data, data science, and artificial intelligence topics. EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years' experience with an employment record of increasing responsibilities in strategic planning and business development, preferably in a large multinational company. Solid knowledge of data industry standards, laws, and business drivers, preferably in the Finance sector. Experience in Corporate and Investment Banking Business will be a plus. Proven knowledge of the how's and why's of preparing and justifying business cases and value propositions; ability to justify business expenditures by identifying costs, benefits, ROI, opportunities, and risks. EDUCATION University Degree in Mathematics, Economics or related disciplines.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE High level of Spanish and English.
