Our team is responsible for developing and managing relationships with critical partners, such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express, which are fundamental to the success of Stripe's product strategy and delivering new capabilities to Stripe users.What you'll doResponsibilitiesLead a team managing Stripe's Network partnerships in in the United States amp; Canada, with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and launching new offerings to benefit Stripe usersEnsure best-in-class, methodical partner and deal management rooted in milestone management, KPIs and alignment on a portfolio of opportunities of mutual interestLeverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful long-term partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe's strategyCoordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury and partner managers in EMEA, APAC and LATAM to drive creation and execution of partner (and related product) strategyIdentify partner stakeholders who will champion Stripe, educate them about Stripe's value proposition, and build alignment between Stripe and our partner's executive teams at regional and local levels in Stripe's highest growth geographiesDevelop, manage and report on strategic plans, key negotiation/expansion opportunities and overall partner health with a multi-year vision in mindReconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholdersEnsure sound execution of day-to-day operations and adherence to risk and compliance obligationsRepresent Stripe at partner and industry events, building close personal relationships with key partner stakeholdersWho you areWe#39;re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role.

The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum requirements15+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development or related field10+ years of experience related to payments or card networks Thorough understanding of card network dynamics and business models Experience managing distributed teams across multiple geographies and overseeing multiple complex cross-functional initiatives simultaneouslyBroad and deep experience executing industry-wide partnership strategies to build innovative product experiences and go to market modelsExperience negotiating commercial deals to support new product initiatives, expanding acceptance, new payment methodsExperience working in product-centric environments with significant internal and external dependenciesStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally across a wide variety of functions, including at the C level
