achieving a balance between managing tax costs, driving efficiencies and ensuring optimizations in a responsible way. He or she will lead Sandoz tax agenda, head up a team and become an integral part of the decision-making processes.**Your responsibilities include, but not limited to**:- Drive relationships and actively collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, treasury, business segments and especially the Tax Operations Function & key functions / platforms, as well as external parties such as statutory auditors, governmental revenue authorities & industry peers.- Oversee the implementation & maintenance of the Company's international corporate tax strategy and oversee & manage the process & strategy for tax controversy matters on a global basis and support regional tax leads / hubs or local teams once audits commence incl. negotiations with tax authorities- Develop,
recommend & implement international tax planning strategies across internationally to manage existing positions & capture new opportunities to improve tax processes and drive efficiencies- Communicate issues, research solutions & tax positions in a clear, concise manner that is audience-driven, both within the tax department and among business partners.- Review & monitor changes in international tax laws, evaluate the relevant impact, recommend & implement responsive action to manage existing positions & capture new opportunities.- Develop and maintain tax risk policy, including maintaining and developing tax risk registers and tax control frameworks, and implement plans for Sandoz's tax strategy- Monitor tax legislation and trends and effectively communicate timely and relevant developments to the Head of Group Tax.- Transparency Reporting and disclosures (incl. Tax advisor examination is a plus.- Minimum 12 years of work experience is required, in a combination of Big 4 and industry experience incl. 2-3 years in a similar role.- Strong knowledge and experience in international tax is a must- Demonstrated experience of M&A; involvement and due diligence.- Experience in managing and leading a functional team in a high-pressure, fast-paced and demanding environment- Strong commercial focus.- Ability to develop in the role as the business grows.- Hard working and dedicated:
Eager to take on new responsibilities and improve professionally.- Fluency in written and oral English is a must.
