Job Description
What you'll do We are looking for an experienced Head Baker to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Executive Pastry Chef, you will:
Manage our overnight Bakery operation and our team of Pastry.Use your outstanding experience to lead the team in producing bakery goods of the highest quality and standard, using authentic methods and techniques, shaping by hand, and always one step ahead of industry trends; you'll be a key part of a winning team that creates truly exceptional dining experiences.Craft a range of breads, rolls, baguettes, bun dough, scones, laminate dough, pastry and cakes with creativity and flair, developing delicious combinations of taste and texture.Continuously develop and innovate the product range, working with our Executive Pastry Chef on ideas and techniques which make our kitchen a creative, ever-changing environment.Proactively share your knowledge and expertise with your team.Ensure our operation runs smoothly, our service preparation is efficient, and our food hygiene standards are maintained. Qualifications
What we are looking for... One to two years' experience working in Pastry, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel/restaurant.An outstanding track record within a high-end quality artisan bakery or luxury hotel environment.A passion for Pastry; a commitment to perfecting your craft and a desire to continue learning from the best in the business.A positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience.The ability to make people feel good - your team, guests, and colleagues alike.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.A collaborative spirit, leaving egos at the door to help get things done.A willingness to embrace new ideas and try (almost) everything once.A desire to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way.
