Their mission is to build a team with a strong culture, with lots of opportunities for development and with a strong client orientation.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESMain goal: Lead the Team of Support to the Underwriters across new or existing classes of business written, whilst working as a member of the Underwriting Support team which oversees delivering accurate risk, record keeping, and reporting.Monitor the performance of a team of Underwriting Assistants and develop a series of performance metrics.Assist with the professional development of the team.Set objectives for the team and manage their progress towards these.Conduct employee performance reviews for Underwriting Assistants within the team.Help to establish a consistent process for Underwriting Assistants and help embed this process across Underwriting Teams.Maintain and monitor the flow of work between underwriting teams and the service provider to ensure items and issues are addressed in a timely and accurate manner.Assist the team in the performance of their tasks when needed.REQUIREMENTSDemonstrable team leader experience and skills.Sound technical knowledge of underwriting assistance.Sound knowledge of general, commercial insurance practices.Commercial awareness, with a knowledge of the insurance market and external changes which would impact business.Excellent numeric, analytical and written skills.Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.Effective prioritization and organizational skills.Languages: Professional level of English and French/German/Dutch.WHAT DO WE OFFER?Working in one of the biggest reinsurance companies in the world and participating in creating their European branch with lots of opportunities for growth and development within the company.Working in a company with strong values of Collaboration, Thoughtful Assumption of Risk, Execution, Humility, and Leadership.Attractive compensation package.#J-18808-Ljbffr
