The Product Development Center (PDC) - Móstoles leads the development of SMP low-rise systems and its main components. We support the manufacturing centers in Europe and Africa, with a focus in Móstoles, and we strive to provide the most competitive products. We are looking for a Hardware Engineer. The mission of the new role is to create requisites for inverter development for low/mid/high rise elevators with global responsibility, and working with main suppliers in the market.What we expect:Analyze project requirements.Study and design the necessary solutions to meet the requirements given in product development.Prepare documentation for new projects.Provide support in the preparation of technical documentation of the product (technical manuals).Analyze both European and international elevation standards.Analyze general regulations applicable to design.Coordinate with other departments on comprehensive projects.Work and develop new projects supported by software platforms.Execute the DVTs to validate the software made before its validation in the system.Who we are looking for:You hold a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related technical discipline. You have 5+ years of experience with either motor controls, power electronics, AC/DC drive systems, or a combination. You possess comprehension of general electrical engineering concepts. Experience in developing digital control algorithms for 3-phase switching power converters and AC electric machines is a plus. Understanding of motor drives control design, programming and implementation is required. Experience with HIL (Hardware In the Loop) simulation is a plus. Familiarity with Plecs/Matlab/Simulink or similar tools is preferred. A substantial level of understanding of elevator systems and codes is preferred. You have demonstrated experience with hands-on technical wiring and assembly of mechanical equipment. You have experience with the use of computer-assisted engineering tools and general knowledge of test equipment. This role requires working in a lab and test tower, therefore all employees must be willing to adhere to all safety procedures and company safety standards. You must have the ability to follow algorithms coded in the C programming language.
