Hands-On Java Architect/Devops Engineer - Relocation To Brussels

For a European institution, we are urgently looking for a Hands-on Java Architect/DevOps Engineer. We are also open to a Hands-on Java Architect who likes to gain knowledge and experience in middleware and infrastructure services.
EU candidates are welcome to apply. Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required, but not provided. This position is long-term and open for contractors.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Functional analysis and hands-on implementation of business requirements and business processes;
Technical analysis, specification, and coding of business processes, user requirements, and development of applications;
Prototyping and coding of proof-of-concept applications;
Design and implementation of applications and/or service and component models and their interfaces;
Development and integration of middleware components and relational databases;
Proofs of concept development and coding;
Design, implementation, and review of security concerns for applications;
Profile:
Bachelor's or Master's degree;
5-10 years of experience as a Java Architect;
Container images (Docker) and Container Orchestration Platform (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Rancher);
Virtualization skills (VMware);
Automation skills (Ansible, Puppet, Chef);
CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo);
Application publishing (load balancers, API gateways, web applications, firewalls, etc.);
Secret management (Hashicorp Vault, Kubernetes secrets, etc.);
Log aggregation and analysis knowledge (Splunk);
Programming knowledge (Java, Python, R);
Networking and Storage subsystem (NetApp) skills;
Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle);
Knowledge of non-relational databases (MongoDB);
Knowledge of data analysis tooling (Cloudera, Knime, Maltego, Tableau);
Fluent in English;
