We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Customer Fulfillment team.
You'll operate out of one of our dynamic Fulfillment Centers: these sit at the heart of Amazon's world-class, rapidly growing business.
Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, amongst others: Maintaining Health and Safety standards within your remit area, while promoting an inspiring Health and Safety culture on-site.
Managing timely data collection and updating operations metrics on an hourly basis in your inventory control and systems environment.
Aiming to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and ensure an excellent customer experience.
Working closely with other support teams (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety and Security, IT) on staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels.
Implementing process change and contributing in cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives within your site and the broader Amazon EU Operations network.
Working in an operational environment requiring working within shift patterns.
Minimum Requirements - Degree in Engineering or a Supply Chain/Logistics/Manufacturing related discipline or MBA.
- Highly proficient in both English & Spanish (Common European Framework of Reference C1).
- Experience as a department manager, leading a group of lower-level managers.
- Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.
- Relevant experience communicating with and presenting to senior leadership.
- Professional experience interpreting and communicating analytics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to motivate a team.
- Professional experience from production, supply chain, or manufacturing areas.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
- Leadership Principle experience such as Hire & Develop the Best.
