About the position: How will you help us achieve our mission?
Devote about 25% of your daily routine to core-work tasks such as tickets and manual review queues using the existing processes, policies and tools, where you will acquire expertise to mitigate losses derived from the abuse or malfunctioning of our payments platform.
Regularly evaluate current workflows and processes, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and streamline fraud prevention efforts.
Partner with product and engineering teams to design, test, and launch innovative fraud prevention features, leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance platform security.
Stay on top of known fraud trends and key indicators to ensure early recognition of patterns, adequate reporting and adoption of swift reactive action.
Proactively identify opportunities to develop and enhance policies, tools and fraud prevention systems.
Analyze patterns, write up trend reports and make data-driven suggestions to close gaps in our fraud prevention systems and prevent fraud losses.
Work with internal stakeholders as well as occasionally third parties (fraud solution providers, PSPs, etc.)
to pinpoint the root cause of reported issues, resolve them and implement the necessary corrective/preventative measures.
What we're looking for: At least 3 years of fraud prevention experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms.
Proven experience in engaging and managing internal and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships and achieve project goals.
Some experience in creating detailed project plans, managing timelines, and allocating resources effectively to meet deadlines.
Proven ability to analyze data for patterns and extract knowledge from visualization tools; a good eye to spot and anticipate fraudulent behaviors.
Great problem-solving, critical thinking and business acumen skills.
Ability to prioritize your own workload and work independently within a fast-paced environment.
Solid writing skills, able to generate documentation such as incident/trend reports, project plans and business cases.
Integrity in maintaining high levels of confidentiality while performing investigations.
Advanced knowledge of MS-Office / Google, and Excel.
Education: bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Previous work in a startup environment, and with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, DataStudio, Amplitude or similar is a plus.
