Department: Distribution
Purpose: To develop strategy, provide direction, and manage the Iberia Distribution team to generate sales of GAM fund products (and/or segregated mandates) to a range of potential intermediary clients (e.g., financial advisors, wealth platforms, discretionary fund managers, investment/multi-managers, and private banks) within the region. To be responsible also for generating own sales and meet or exceed individual annual sales targets, as agreed with the line manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide leadership – optimizing the distribution function structure and clearly communicating a unified message on direction, strategy, plans, and performance.
Commit to hiring, motivating, and retaining a best-in-class, diverse distribution team which balances the specialization and dedication required by key clients with economies of scale.
Ensure the sales team has advanced product and client knowledge necessary to optimize distribution.
Develop initiatives that will drive increased revenues and profitability in line with the company's risk appetite and financial objectives.
Drive accountability through setting of sales targets and the management of the annual budgets for sales, marketing, and headcount.
Implement a clear sales strategy which includes identifying market and client segments, appropriate strategies for the Iberia market and ensure that team composition is suited to the defined sales strategy.
