We are seeking a Group Lead IP Intelligence and Operations (m/f/d) to lead a team of Intellectual Property Engineers and maximize value creation for Nordex through the enhancement of IP-related processes within the company as well as the exploitation of patent intelligence.
YOUR TASKS Leading a team devoted to competitive intelligence by knowing patent and product portfolios of main wind industry players: wind turbine manufacturers, wind farm owners and operators, component manufacturers as well as digital application developers; Detecting early trends and reviewing them with strategists and experts to react according to Nordex business priorities; Preparing meaningful communication/reports for relevant stakeholders within the organization: Product Strategy, Sales, RD, Engineering, Service, management teams etc.
; Continuous improvement of end-to-end company IP processes (e.g.
trade secret protection, management of IP contracts, etc.
); Detecting gaps in IP awareness, understanding training needs, and preparing materials to ensure proper understanding of obligations and rights regarding compliance with IP processes and regulations; Care for IP clauses in agreements with development partners, suppliers, customers as well as preparing and supporting in licensing negotiations; Management of key stakeholders to maximize value creation.
YOUR PROFILE Completed M.Sc in Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar with additional training in Intellectual Property and ideally experience in wind technology; Experience in leading a team of IP specialists: acting as a role model with resilience and a positive attitude, having a clear focus on developing the team members; Minimum of 12 years of experience working on competitive intelligence analysis and intellectual property protection, preferably in the field of renewable energy or related technologies such as IoT, aerospace; Comfortable to work and interact frequently with relevant stakeholders across the organization (inventors, external patent attorneys, engineering experts, management); Team player with good communications skills; Entrepreneurial mindset combining creativity with attention to detail and a systematic and careful way of working; Fluency in English required, additional skills in Spanish or German are nice to have.
