You'll have the chance to showcase your expertise in tax strategies on a global scale in a fast-paced, international e-commerce company.
This is an excellent opportunity for a new/recently qualified tax professional considering a move to industry or a tax professional already working in industry considering a move to a bigger fast-paced company.
Responsibilities Preparation of indirect and direct tax computations/returns and review of indirect and direct tax returns prepared by external advisors for a number of entities of the group, communicate issues within the return, assist Tax Manager in resolution of those issues, and finalize returns for submission to the tax authorities.
Ensure continuity with US sales tax compliance obligations across all registrations in US by reviewing all correspondence issued by state tax authorities, preparing responses for Tax Manager review, escalating any issues arising, and assisting Tax Manager with the resolution of those issues.
Assist the Tax Managers with the resolution of tax audits or voluntary disclosures including collating and coordinating data, quantifying the incremental costs of tax reassessments, and drafting communications to the tax authorities.
Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax provision process by calculating recharges, corporate tax charges, foreign tax credits, and deferred taxes.
Support the Tax Manager with tax planning/consulting and transfer pricing initiatives.
Ensure data in support of tax returns is maintained in an orderly fashion and ready for inspection in the future.
Support other ESW business areas to ensure tax queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
Dealing with other workstreams as required.
Requirements: Degree in Accounting or Business; a Post-Graduate qualification is a plus.
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or similar) and Chartered Tax Advisor (or similar).
Prior tax experience in industry (preferable but not required) or practice.
Proactive and able to take ownership of work to manage and deliver workstreams.
Able to work autonomously and to prioritize workload effectively.
Demonstrates a keen interest in business and an inquisitive mind.
Keen to develop new capabilities, resourceful, able to deliver at a high level under pressure.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong excel, word, and power point skills.
