Group Internal Auditor Located: Madrid or Barcelona, Spain Spanish fluency required Astrum Search is seeking a highly skilled Group Internal Auditor to join a market leading manufacturing business, located in either Barcelona or Madrid. Key Responsibilities Plan, execute, and report on audits and reviews assigned by the Group Head of Internal Audit & Compliance. Apply professional auditing principles to assess and evaluate financial, IT, operational, and risk management controls. Foster strong working relationships with Head Office and Divisional teams to promote process improvements and a mutual understanding of internal audit functions. Collaborate with external auditors and relevant regulatory agencies. Reporting To: Group Internal Audit Manager Travel: Extensive travel (approximately 30 weeks annually) to subsidiaries across 225 locations worldwide. Experience Significant experience in External and/or Internal Audit, ideally within an international manufacturing environment. Previous roles in Big 4 firms and public companies. Strong familiarity with risk-based auditing, IT General Controls, and computer-aided audit techniques. Native Spanish speaker with bilingual English proficiency (knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus). Highly motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently. Qualifications Qualified ACCA or equivalent certification. Ideally holds or is pursuing certifications such as CIA, CFE, or CISA. The role is part of a high performing team that is well respected.
