You'll propose organization and process improvements based on international standards and industry best practices.Education Requirements:University Degree in Chemical Engineering (must have)PMBOK experience is an assetResponsibilities & Required Experience:Direct and manage project delivery including defining project scope, specifying deliverables, estimating and controlling project duration, effort and cost, create detailed project plans and manage change requests. Ensure all deliverables are delivered on time and within budget.Drive an attitude within project teams to deliver solutions, resolving issues and risks as they arise, while managing a diverse project team.Mentor team members and review performance of direct reports.Drive the requirements and analysis phase of the project by reviewing requirements documents, facilitating solution evaluation process, and managing RFP process where required.Work with clients, vendors and managers/supervisors, directing and developing project charters, project plans, costs estimates, business cases, steering committee presentations and other documentation supporting the requirements phase of the project.Drive day-to-day project activities through the application of sound project management principles and methodologies.Develop and maintain a detailed status, activities and issues report on each project to present to Management and major project stakeholders.Facilitate regular stakeholder and project sponsor meetings to define project direction and priorities in line with corporate objectives.Work with Business and Executive to establish meaningful, key metrics that properly reflect the performance of the team and indicates progress towards objectives.Work with the project team to conduct post-completion analysis of all projects and document post-completion recommendations, outstanding issues, and incomplete deliverables.5+ years of managing people, projects and budgets ideally with large, complex projects.Desired Experience:Progressive work related experience in a software environmentContract negotiations and managing software and services contracts.Negotiation and management of fixed-price contracts as well as time-and-materials.Skills:Exceptional leadership skills, problem solving abilities, and strong capabilities in planning, organizing and progress control.You have strong negotiation skills, the ability to delegate, and the ability to work with all levels of an organization.Ability to manage and thrive in fast paced, detail and change oriented, matrix environment.Ability to build consensus within project teams to ensure positive results.Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to deal with situations where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous.Conversant in various tools for statistical analysis, management, project planning, and time tracking including MS Project and MS Excel.Proven oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.This is a great opportunity for the right person.
