As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under supervision, you'll perform a variety of assignments through the application of basic engineering theories, techniques, and practices. In development mode being trained in the utilization of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables while gaining exposure to procedures and processes.
On your typical work day you will...
Assist business development activities by maintaining an up to date personal profile and resume. You'll build positive working relationships with external parties such as the customer, suppliers, and contractors.
Support the delivery of training. Assist in the employee performance review process. Facilitate coverage of activities when people leave the team. Encourage knowledge of and compliance with requirements and processes. Work to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and customer issues. Ensure discipline technical work and team activities meet all health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.
Support adherence to generally accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Support the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates. Contribute to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful. Use local/global standards to support technical excellence. Support the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
Know the discipline scope/cost/time requirements, assist the team to meet expectations, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure project success. May support management of project change and progressing for the discipline and work with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues, staffing requirements, scope changes, progressing, or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability. Plan discipline quality, monitor quality activities, participate in squad checking, recommend improvements, and take action when required.
Gather data from multiple sources and prepare engineering deliverables. Determine technical issues, define alternate solutions, establish pros/cons for multiple solutions, and make recommendations to more senior team members. Create final documentation incorporating all relevant information and pursue customer approval.
Incorporate information from multiple sources into equipment/material specifications, data sheets, testing requirements, and material requisitions. Participate in bid clarifications, support bid evaluations, and complete inter-discipline vendor information review and approval.
Seek input from knowledgeable sources, may participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews, and incorporate requirements into engineering/design. Work with site personnel to resolve issues. May assist in the creation of plans or documents that support construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or decommissioning. May provide on-site support for construction, commissioning, or turnover.
Qualifications
Degree in engineering
Will be actively registered with a local engineering governing body where required by law
Ability to report in English, both verbal & in writing
Less than 3 years of relevant experience
Has basic understanding of control process strategies, process elementary principles of measure and digital electronic. Regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices
Desirable: training in leadership, project executions, risk management, or quality
Desirable: relevant discipline experience or working in a related industry such as environmental, operations, maintenance, fabrication, or construction.
Desirable: active participation and/or collaboration in activities outside the formal training centre or university.
Desirable: practical experience in the industrial sector
Technical Knowledge
Proficient in specialty engineering or design tools, analytics and modelling, and cross-discipline data centric methods
A basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams
Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies
Competent in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint
