We're looking for a Senior Tech Lead to help us build our Operating System for the Music Industry by managing our technical teams in order to continually improve our products.If you're passionate about the music industry and thrive working in fast and uncertain scenarios, we'd like to hear the sound of your keyboard solving the challenges we're facing.Our tech stack is mainly Python, Django, AWS, PostgreSQL, AWS Batch.You will be leading our Pronto engineering product, a SaaS platform that ingests 24/7 all the plays from the Digital Service Providers like Spotify, Youtube, Amazon Music, Apple, etc and processes trillions of these plays to find the proper rights owners and help the collective management organizations and music publishers to distribute fairly the revenue from the digital streams.Responsibilities: Lead the Pronto engineering product team.Manage technical teams and ensure alignment on project goals.Redesign and refactor existing systems for improved performance.Communicate effectively with remote team members.Proactively identify areas for system scaling and improvement.Conduct performance reviews and participate in hiring processes.Minimum Requirements: 6 years of experience as a software engineer.2 years of experience in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of Python.Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL).Comfortable designing distributed systems (experience with AWS Batch/Redis RQ is a plus).Experience working with brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ.Experience working with cache (Redis is a plus).Experience with async Python code (asyncio).Good communication skills, especially written communication.Proactive mindset and leadership abilities.Languages: English: fully proficient or fluent; Spanish/Catalan a plus.Benefits: Flexible working hours and location.Unlimited time off.Opportunity to shape the role and run your own development.Flat hierarchy.Online language classes.Online and onsite courses and music industry workshops.All necessary equipment provided.Barcelona HQ office available.About BMAT: BMAT started in 2005 when a group of engineers with a passion for music decided to spin-off from an audio research lab in Barcelona.
