You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define comprehensive test strategies, drive test automation initiatives, and enhance testing processes. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional software solutions to our customers. You will report directly to our Test Automation Manager, and you'll work out of our Northford, CT location on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have a significant impact on our software development and release processes. You will lead and mentor a team of skilled test automation engineers, drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement, and ensure the effectiveness of our testing efforts.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead the development of test automation of fire control systems and associated embedded firmware.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, embedded firmware developers, and hardware engineers, to understand design requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Develop and maintain verification test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded firmware projects.Design and implement automated test frameworks to streamline the design verification process and improve efficiency.Conduct thorough analysis of test results, identify and document defects, and work closely with development teams to address issues.Mentor and guide a team of design verification engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvements.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in test automation and design verification of embedded systems.Proficient in Agile, specifically applying SAFe to product development and test automation.Create test scripts using the latest tools including the use of AI.Ability to travel up to 10%.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.YOU MUST HAVE5 years of experience in embedded firmware design and verification with a focus on real-time embedded systems and safety-critical applications.Demonstrated leadership in test automation.Experience with industry-standard tools and methodologies for test automation, verification, and validation.Demonstrated ability to lead a team, communicate effectively, and drive projects to successful completion.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, engineering practices
