This online advertising network & exchange delivers multi-platform programmatic and tracked AdTech solutions to connect digital advertisers with publishers. They are part of a $500m global group, with offices elsewhere in Europe and the USA and they have recently expanded their offices in central Barcelona, to accommodate their growing team.
They are building a brand new AdTech platform, to replace their existing core platform, to deliver maximum competitive advantage. They process extremely high volumes (X0,000 requests/second) so code efficiency is essential, as is high availability, to continue and accelerate their growth.
They are now looking for two additional Software Engineers to complete the build of this new platform (written mostly in Golang) and then continue adding improvements, functionality and customising to their client's specific requirements.
Tasks
- Working across all elements of their AdTech stack, including ad delivery systems, OS and network level optimisation.
- Optimise and improve existing systems to continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their digital ad campaigns.
- Working in a public cloud (Linux ecosystem) environment
- Ensure their systems are scalable and reliable to handle more traffic and efficiently deliver ads without interruption.
- Identify causes and develop practical, efficient fixes for complex software problems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, especially with Data Analysts, Product Managers, Marketers and Designers, to align platform development with business objectives.
Requirements
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years experience as a Software Developer including 2 years experience using Go (and a preference for those with low-level programming skills using Scala, Rust or C)
- Proficient English language skills and an effective communicator.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Understanding of the AdTech sector, including ad-delivery systems
- Familiar with programmatic advertising, including DSPs (demand-side platforms), SSPs (supply-side platforms) and RTB (real time bidding).
- Experience working in a public cloud, Linux environment.
Benefits
You will be working in modern new offices in the centre of Barcelona, with flexible working hours, private healthcare and free drinks and snacks, with 2 days/week available to work from home.
This is a remarkable opportunity for ambitious Software Engineers with strong Golang skills, as you will be joining a progressive and highly successful team, where your contributions will be recognised and rewarded as they continue to grow.
