Job Description:The Data Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and enterprise-ready data solutions or products. They will use their expertise in big data technologies, cloud, and data management to support the success of our data initiatives. They will collaborate with delivery squads and platform teams to provide strategic guidance, ensuring our solutions align with business and technical needs.
This role will work with delivery squads, platform teams such as BRIX and BDH, Chapter Leads, Cloud Engineering, Technology Services and Product Owners. By doing so they will design solutions to support the Advanced Analytics Portfolio of work, that ultimately deliver value to Brambles and its customers.
Major/Key Accountabilities:Support our commitment to build re-usable, scalable, enterprise-wide data solutions and products.Design advanced analytics solutions, from end to end, in partnership with Project & Product Owners.Operate our Solution Review Board, with the Portfolio Team, to advise and guide on solution best practices & governance.Work with the Data Engineering team to ensure our data hub platform is designed to support our solutions.Assist in technical scoping of new initiatives.Review existing initiatives to ensure they meet our governance requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders unfamiliar with technical development methodologies including agile, design thinking, advanced analytics and digital product management.Cover a broad range of technologies impacting a broad range of teams.Work in a truly global role across different time zones and cultures.Handle ambiguity in a new digital organization. Experience:Worked with advanced analytics, data products and AI.Developed enterprise solution architectures in a global organization.Experience working with streaming or high velocity data.Experience owning architect from discovery through to implementation.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Fluency in English essential. Additional European Languages desirable. Skills and Knowledge:Ability to influence senior Business and Technical stakeholders, to communicate, validate and promote the technical solution.Must possess drive for excellence, simplification, and a get-it-done attitude.Ability to work in ambiguous settings and show initiative.Excellent organisational skills, with ability to manage own workload and work independently.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Demonstrable user-centric mindset.Advanced computer skills - Word / Excel / PowerPoint/ Jira/ Innovation tooling/ Online whiteboarding.Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively and handle tight deadlines.Ability and desire to learn new skills.Can work in a close team environment / strong team player.Knowledge and expertise in the use of Project, Product, Program & Portfolio Management methodologies and tools.Outcome focus over time or task focus.
