Your mission
Within The Workshop, MSP is a highly private, managed services and data centre hosting facility. We offer an array of different products and services including cloud, co-location, managed security and many other 'as a' services. Our business is made up of diverse, highly skilled people who enable our customers and their businesses by matching the right solutions to their technology needs.
Service Delivery is the face of the MSP business to the customer. We are the primary customer contacts responsible for defining and implementing work on behalf of the customer. The programme manager is a senior position in the Service Delivery team in which you will work closely with various teams within the business and on the client side spanning several continents.
What you'll do:
Drive and communicate the progress of critical projects towards key business objectives
Deliver control, governance, and organisation to assigned programmes and projects
Pick up and understand our products, platform, differentiators and method rapidly so you can start to contribute quickly
Facilitate timely communication between teams and maintain a harmonious project environment
Provide upwards and outwards communication and provide regular project status reports
Prepare, gain commitment and manage programme/project plans, milestones, and timelines
Capture and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions in an organised, structured and coherent manner
Work with key stakeholders and other project managers to establish overall plans and actively manage dependencies
Oversee other project managers who will deliver component parts of your programmes
Mentor and coach less experienced members of the team
Some travel may be required
What you'll bring:
7+ years project/programme management experience
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong vendor management skills and experience
Credible and persuasive, with influencing skills
Excellent communication skills (written, spoken and presentation)
Proficiency in using management software tools (e.g. Atlassian suite)
The ability to learn quickly, work independently and in a team setting
Professional PM Qualification desirable, e.g. Agile ScrumMaster, PMP, Prince 2
Line management experience would be advantageous
